Phoebe and Cole's Hotel Room at The Arms

As promised, after the visit to Angelus, Phoebe had gone to The Arms to get her and Cole a room. As much as she really did adore Xander and Bridge, she didn't want to impose on Xander as his apartment was getting pretty crowded.

Cole didn't want her going out unless she was with him or Anders because he still felt that Angelus was a danger -- even if he was behind bars right now.

So, this was Phoebe, pacing her hotel room.

Phoebe opened the door and was immediately in the arms of her Big Sib.

This did not come as a surprise and he was ready to catch her and gently back her into the room so he could close the door behind them.

"Hey there, Siblet."

"Hey, big brother."

"Don't suppose I need to ask what's brought you here?"

She gave him a sad smile. "You have no idea how much I wish it was just so I could visit my loved ones."

"I wish you had also," Wilson said a bit sadly. "Aziraphale will be leaving shortly."

Her eyes widened and her face paled slightly. "What?" She hugged him again. "But, where is he going?"

"Don't know," Wilson said softly, returning the hug. "Another mission he believes, a long one this time."

"Are you going with him?" She was all ready to suggest he come stay with her for awhile since she definitely ahd the extra room.

Wilson shook his head sadly.

"Not this time it seems," he said quietly. "We both knew there would be times like this, just feels strange for him to be going off and I'm not allowed to go along."

Considering how she reacted when it was Cole who went away...

"Are you staying here? If you want to get away you can come stay with me for a bit? You know we have the room."

She was very, very against her Big Sib being alone.

"I am staying here," he confirmed with a sad sort of smile. "Have a class to teach in the spring and all that. If you get a chance you might want to try to say goodbye, Raphale believes it will all happen pretty soon."

Phoebe nodded, already tearing up.

"James? You do know if you ever need me I'd drop everything to come, right?"

She felt it was important he knew this.

"I know," he said and worked up a smile, leaning back to cup her face with both hands. "It'll be all right. Just so close on the heels of Lucifer's leaving, it's taking me a few minutes to get my head wrapped around everything."

"Lucifer, too, Oh Sib..."

She nodded as she looked at him, feeling a twinge of guilt that she felt safe with him, knowing that he was going through this.

"After all of this is over... I can say longer if you need me?"

Leaning down, Wilson rubbed his nose gently against her's and smiled.

"I'm a big boy, Sweetening and besides I think Cole on his own would get into mischief. If it gets too rough rattling around the house on my own, maybe I'll come out and visit for the holidays, how does that sound?"

She rubbed noses back, smiling inwardly at how calming and reassuring that familiar gesture was.

"That sounds like a good plan, James. You know you are always welcome, and Cole likes knowing that the people we care about are well."

"Thank you, Phoebe." Wilson said with a smile and then he straightened.

"All right, you guys be careful, yes? I don't want to be stitching or otherwise putting anyone back together okay?"

She nodded. "I'm not allowed to leave this room without Cole or Anders or Prue with me." She sighed. "Especially now that Cole and I may have made Angelus believe that I could do the spell to replace Angel's soul..."

Wilson nodded looking vaguely reassured.

"Excellent, I'll add my voice to theirs and encourage you to listen to them. Things were bad enough the first time around, I don't want to go through that again."

Reaching out to ruffle her hair, Wilson smiled.

"Besides, you need to be in one piece for me to come out and spend time with you if I get lonely, right?"

Phoebe smiled and nodded. "I'm listening to them, I promise. And, I'm scared of him enough that I will continue to listen unless someone needs my help." She thought it wise she didn't repeat to James how Angelus had threatened her when she was at the jail earlier. She was pretty sure a threat of that kind would piss off her sib.

"I think you've done more than your share of having to put me together again, James, and I have no intention of doing anything that might make you have to again."

She hugged him again. "Definitely. I will remain in one piece so you and I can spend time together if you need it and do sibling mischief to drive Cole and Anders crazy."

"You and I doing sibling mischief sounds almost dangerous," Wilson remarked, though he didn't look particularly ... contrite.

Phoebe beamed at him.

"We would be on the best behavior... for us."

"Which is a fairly frightening statement," Wilson said wryly and then reached out to give her another hug. "All right Siblet, I'd better get back home."

Phoebe hugged him tightly. "You be careful, too, Sib."
