Late, Very Late, Saturday Night -- Suite 518/520

After the walk through the park which ended up with her getting hit in the face and the stomach because something had River terrified and worried about Pippi, Phoebe bowed out of going to the clinic and instead returned to her dorm room. She was really glad that Cole was out with Seely because it meant she could check out the damage ahead of time and think up a plausible excuse as to why she was bruised and such.

She locked the dorm room and went to the bathroom and turned on the light. When she saw her reflection, she had to gasp.

"I look like hell."

That was followed by, "Cole is going to lose his shit when he sees me."

Phoebe cleaned up the blood from where her lip had been split and then sighed, wincing slightly as her stomach tensed in pain. Yeah, there were bruises on her stomach from one of River's fists. And her face... gah... that was going to be quite the impressive black eye.

She'd figure out what to tell Cole later. She was more worried about what had upset River so much since she had felt all of her fear and her worry and her confusion. Phoebe cleaned her face carefully, and then went to the freezer to see if they had anything to put on her eye.

She moved through the suite turning off every light before going into their bedroom to lay down for a little while.

After the shout-by (http://sogothcally.livejournal.com/38095.html) that occured, Cally went in search of where Anders went hiding.

She figured the last place she saw him was a good place to start. So she knocked.

Phoebe heard the knock and bit her lip... and then figured that her friends would have to see her face sooner or later, so she made her way to the door and opened it.

"Oh hey Cally," she said with a smile.

"Holy frak, what happened," Cally blurted out. "Who do I need to hit?"

Phoebe stepped aside. "Come on in." She sighed. "My face got in the way of River's fist," she explained "She was in a panic."

"Oh, geeze," Cally said, reaching up to rub her own face, remembering the time Janet kicked her. She stepped into the room. "River's kinda. . . Oh geeze."

Phoebe sighed sadly. "She was freaked out and I tried to stop her from hurting people but uhm... yeah."

Cally nodded. "Are you gonna be okay?" she asked. "I don't like my friends bein' all hurt."

Phoebe nodded at her. "I'll be sore for a few days and will have a killer black eye for a little bit, but I'll be okay. Thank you," she said with a smile. "I would have issues with my friends being hurt, too."

She shut the door.

"Can I get you anything to drink?"

"Oh, erm, some water, thanks," Cally said. "Did... is River okay?"

Phoebe got Cally a bottle of water from the fridge and brought it to her. "Molly took River to the clinic. River was really upset. The emotions I was picking up from her were full of fear and confusion."

"Geeze," Cally said. "It'd be nice if we could have a quiet weekend for once. Though, really, I guess I keep having quiet ones, and everyone else keeps having horrible ones."

"It was supposed to be a quiet weekend for me," She said with a shake of her head. "Then I decided to go to the park..."

Cally set down her water bottle and opened up her arms. "I think you need a hug," she said.

Phoebe nodded and then leaned into Cally, hugging her.

Cally hugged Phoebe tightly. "But hey, things can just get better, right?"

Phoebe nodded, hugging her friend, determined not to cry because that would make Cally emo and that was a sin. "It can only go up from here."

Caly wasn't about to break a very important hug.

"And, see, at least she didn't punch you in the boob," she said, in attempts at light-heartedness. "That woulda hurt."

Still hugging, Phoebe giggled. "Yeah, that would have hurt much more than the stomach," she agreed.

"Erf," Cally let out a single half-grunt. "The stomach, too? You should definitely get Bel to kiss that better for you."

Phoebe snickered. "I really should."

"Well, there's a happy plan," Cally said. "And there's always , you know, the fact that you could..." she coughed and blushed. "Nevermind."

Phoebe laughed.

"Yeah, I can always get him to do that to make me feel better."

Cally grinned, but was still blushing a bit. "Benefits of a live-in boyfriend, yeah."

"There are definitely benefits to that."

"Yeah," Cally said, suddenly a little sad herself. She scuffed the floor with her toe. "S'really nice, you know? Knowing you and Bel can stick together so well." She paused.

"That wasn't supposed to sound dirty."
