South Attic -- Sunday Night

Phoebe was reclining on the couch the couch and watching a rerun of "Enchanted" and cursing at the TV.

"Phaedra! You are such a stupid little bitch! Calvin gave up so much for you... he had no choice over what happened and you're treating him like a hell!" She shook her head angrily. "Dumb writers, ruining my favourite show... I wonder if I could vanquish them?"

Phoebe leaned back against him.

"This was a really good show until the writers started taking crack," she muttered. "Phaedra and Calvin were the perfect love story and now, Phaedra is a bitch to him over things he couldn't control. I swear, when she lost the bangs, she lost her personality, too."

"She never really understood that Calvin became the Lord of All Darkness to save her life and didn't know that's what would happen," Cole mused. "Why didn't he ever tell her?"

Phoebe tugged at his hand. "Come sit with me?" she requested.

"He saved her life and she doesn't seem to want to remember that." She frowned when she heard his question. "Lack of communication. He should have told her that these things were happening," she said softly. "Then again, she should have known that something wasn't right with him. They knew each other in and out... and they should have communicated better. She should have realized something wasn't right, and he should have been honest and told her what was happening."

Cole circled the couch and sat down beside Phoebe. "Well, we won't have any problems like that," he said.

Phoebe leaned against him and smiled. "Well, of course not. We talk about everything so as not to cause issues like they're having." She frowned at the TV again. "How can she treat him so badkly... and why does he still love her after this?"

"He must've still believed there was a chance for them, some hope that she would return to the woman he loved," Cole said, putting his arm around her.

"What were the writers thinking?! Phaedra and Calvin were soulmates... so why did they have to make Phaedra into this wench, now?" She sighed, snuggling against him.

"I've heard less-than-flattering things about the actress who plays her," Cole supplied. "Then again, she's at the mercy of the writers, who seem to think Continuity is a thing to be molested by Contrivance."

"I've heard she's pretty cool." Phoebe shrugged. "This is a good example of why I could never go into acting. I'd get attached to the character I was playing and be pissed if the writers screwed with that."

"I suppose novelists feel the same when their characters and books are turned into TV shows or movies," Cole said thoughtfully.

Phoebe nodded. "I should think so. Especially when good books become horrible movies."
