South Attic -- Sunday Night

Phoebe was reclining on the couch the couch and watching a rerun of "Enchanted" and cursing at the TV.

"Phaedra! You are such a stupid little bitch! Calvin gave up so much for you... he had no choice over what happened and you're treating him like a hell!" She shook her head angrily. "Dumb writers, ruining my favourite show... I wonder if I could vanquish them?"

Cole came up behind the couch and bent over Phoebe, wrapping his arms around her. "It's just a TV show, love," he said. "Don't get so worked up about it."

Phoebe leaned back against him.

"This was a really good show until the writers started taking crack," she muttered. "Phaedra and Calvin were the perfect love story and now, Phaedra is a bitch to him over things he couldn't control. I swear, when she lost the bangs, she lost her personality, too."

"She never really understood that Calvin became the Lord of All Darkness to save her life and didn't know that's what would happen," Cole mused. "Why didn't he ever tell her?"

Phoebe tugged at his hand. "Come sit with me?" she requested.

"He saved her life and she doesn't seem to want to remember that." She frowned when she heard his question. "Lack of communication. He should have told her that these things were happening," she said softly. "Then again, she should have known that something wasn't right with him. They knew each other in and out... and they should have communicated better. She should have realized something wasn't right, and he should have been honest and told her what was happening."

Cole circled the couch and sat down beside Phoebe. "Well, we won't have any problems like that," he said.

Phoebe leaned against him and smiled. "Well, of course not. We talk about everything so as not to cause issues like they're having." She frowned at the TV again. "How can she treat him so badkly... and why does he still love her after this?"

"He must've still believed there was a chance for them, some hope that she would return to the woman he loved," Cole said, putting his arm around her.

"What were the writers thinking?! Phaedra and Calvin were soulmates... so why did they have to make Phaedra into this wench, now?" She sighed, snuggling against him.

"I've heard less-than-flattering things about the actress who plays her," Cole supplied. "Then again, she's at the mercy of the writers, who seem to think Continuity is a thing to be molested by Contrivance."

"I've heard she's pretty cool." Phoebe shrugged. "This is a good example of why I could never go into acting. I'd get attached to the character I was playing and be pissed if the writers screwed with that."

"I suppose novelists feel the same when their characters and books are turned into TV shows or movies," Cole said thoughtfully.

Phoebe nodded. "I should think so. Especially when good books become horrible movies."

It was still fairly early in the evening, so Kiki decided just to stop in quickly after she came back from the Hotel.

Tucking a thin box under her arm, she knocked.

Phoebe recognized the knock and called out.

"Come on in, Keeks, it's unlocked."

Kiki opened the door with a grin and went in. "Hi," she grinned, holding out the box she had under her arm. "You'll find this... interesting. (http://dreamy.wildsexylingerie.com/photos/large/S80085.jpg) Mr. Crowley gave it to me." Kiki plumped down on the couch. "Although he's going to teach me how to drive. And he tried to get me to sign a contract. It's been quite a day."

Phoebe opened the box and gasped, closing it before Cole can see it.

"I think I'm mildly grateful that he doesn't know when my birthday is," she sighed. "I'm not surprised he tried to get you to sign a contract... nor am I surprised that you didn't."

She shook her head. "He is bound and determined to see how far he can push us, isn't he?"

Kiki scrubbed her hand over her face. "It does seem like that. You know what this means, don't you?"

"Sounds about right," Kiki nodded. "I'm thinking paisley for a full week now. And all in pastels."

Phoebe nodded in agreement. "I think you're right. he just moved up the list from a weekend to a full week of paisley. All pastels or horrid pink and green combinations."

Kiki caught herself rubbing her hands together wickedly.

"Doesn't he have some group of people coming in soon? Business partners or something? I say we drop this on him around, oh, Wednesday or so next week and let everyone see what he truly desires to wear in his little heart of hearts. For a whole week."

Kiki giggled. "Would he ever forgive us, do you think, if we added make-up?"

"Probably not... even if I think he would look good in black eyeliner."

"Perhaps some nice blue eyeshadow and bright red lipstick?" Kiki suggested. Glancing down at her gift again, she adds, "And some blush for rosy cheeks, of course."
