Thursday Morning 518/520

For once, Phoebe had not left the bed or the dorms before the sun rose.

In fact, she was still quite comfortable and snuggly in the bed.

Having arms wrapped around her was a very good thing and she wasn't planning on going anywhere away from said arms anytime soon.

Phoebe snuggled closer.

"No wandering away this morning," Cole mumbled sleepily.

Phoebe shook her head. "No. Wanna stay right here this morning."

"Where have you been wandering off to?" Cole asked. He kept his voice low enough so as to not wake up Anders, since he still seemed to be sleeping.

"Selkie Cove," she said softly, not wanting to wake up Anders, either.

"How come?" Cole prodded.

[sensethevisions]

"Would you believe me if I said I was just thinking and stuff and didn't want to wake you guys up when I couldn't sleep?"

"You don't ever have to worry about waking me up, sweetheart," Cole said, stroking her hair.

She purred softly as he stroked her hair. "I also kind of had a phone call to make yesterday that I didn't want you to know about in case what I had looked into wasn't able to happen in time."

"What are you up to?" Cole asked curiously.

She bit her lip. "Promise you won't get mad?"

"Phoebe. . . ."

[sensethevisions]

"It's nothing bad, per se," she hurriedly assured him. She knew that tone well and usually it was deservedly used. "You know how we were talking about what to do after we left here and you said that there was nothing you could do or colleges you could get into because you didn't have a real identity out there...?"

"Yeah," Cole said. "I don't exist in the real world."

"You do now." She swallowed. "See, I got to thinking and I talked to Aziraphale... and Veronica."

"What'd they do?" Cole asked.

[sensethevisions]

"Veronica made sure that you now have an established identity as Cole Turner... and Aziraphale said he would make it seem like it was always in place..." She bit her lip. "She's bringing the necessary documentation when she comes this weekend."

"Why would I be mad about that, sweetheart?" Cole said, pulling her closer against him.

"Because I didn't ask you and I just went behind your back to get stuff set up?" She curled into him. "It's just that after the conversation, and how unhappy you were, I had to do something, so I went to Aziraphale to ask for his assistance and then I called Veronica."

"It was a better plan than sitting around feeling sorry for myself," Cole said, kissing her forehead. "Thank you."

"Nobody's sitting 'round feelin' sorry f'r th'mself t'day," came the muffled, half-under-the-covers voice from Anders's end of the bed.

"I love you, Cole" she said softly. "And there are times that you forget that you have friends who care about you and will help you out whenever they can." When she heard Anders's she winced. "Didn't mean to wake you up."

"Still not used to it, even now," Cole admitted. "In the Underworld it was every demon for himself."

He may have absently reached over and poked the blankets over Anders.

"'s okay, I was sorta awake anyway," Anders assured Phoebe before scowling, even though his face was hidden. "Hey. No poking 'less it's the fun kind."

"People love you here... and the day they try to ever treat you badly again, they have to deal with me." She nuzzled Cole and reached to lay a hand on Anders. "Fun poking is good."

"Speaking of people who might want to treat me badly," Cole said idly, "is your grandmother coming to graduation?"

"They get to deal with me now, too," Anders pointed out sleepily, rolling over to throw an arm over both of them. "And oh frak, I think your sister wants to blow me up again."

Phoebe whimpered a little painfully. "Grams, and Dad, and Piper will be here." She tried to hide under the covers. "Maybe Grams will be so focused on fighting with Victor that she won't notice that you're no longer human..."

"What do you think will get her more upset?" Bel wondered aloud. "Demon or threesome?"

Anders groaned and pulled the covers a little further over his head, clinging to Bel for reassurance. "Am I gonna have to hide off-island during the ceremony or something?"

"Threesome," Phoebe said immediately. "As far as Grams is concerned, no man is good enough for any of her granddaughters. Finding out about a threesome? Uh huh, that will override the whole demon thing. Though... Veronica did say I could come hide out in her hotel room while Grams was here and Dad was here. Of course, I'd have to make out with her to appease Cam about me intruding on their private space..."

"Great, then where are we supposed to hide?" Bel said. He looked at Anders thoughtfully. "I can always throw you at her and shimmer away," he mused.

"Oh, thanks," Anders said, glaring playfully at him. He glanced over at Phoebe. "Make out with Veronica? Seriously?"

His facial expression showed what he thought of that idea. He wasn't exactly enthusiastic about it.

"There will be no throwing of Anders at my Grams because she might hit on him and that will break my brain and there will be no shimmering away to leave me to deal with that fall out on my own. Doing something like that to me will cause my playful threat to hold out on you to become a very certain reality. Besides, Grams will probably be irritated enough to see Victor here that she won't give you guys a second thought."

She turned her head to Anders and narrowed her eyes. "And what is wrong with Veronica...?"

Amused, Bel looked at Anders, waiting for his answer.

"She hates me," Anders grumbled. "Totally not fair."

He elbowed Bel. "No using me as bait. I'm too cute for that. And you'd totally miss me."

"Veronica happens to be one of my best friends," Phoebe pointed out, not about to let go of it that easily. "She has helped me a lot in the two years I've known her and she has always been there for me. She is also responsible for Cole now having a reali identity out in the world... and she has never said anything nasty to me about you."

"Yeah, what's she got against you?" Bel asked.

"Hell if I know," Anders said, a little sulky but looking guilty about possibly making Phoebe mad. "We've never gotten along, that's all. And she called to make fun of me for apparently having your future kid. Can you make her leave me alone, at least?"

"I'll talk to her this weekend," she promised. "With Veronica... she just wants me happy like Piper does."

"We'll protect you from the big bad Veronica," Bel snickered.

"Yeah, yeah, yeah." Anders poked him and pulled the pillow over his head again.

Phoebe pulled the pillow up. "No hiding."

"Want me to kick her ass for you?" Bel teased.

"My heroes," Anders retorted, leaning over to kiss him, then Phoebe.
