Sunday Evening, Suite 518/520

Phoebe was a nervous wreck. It didn't seem like anything she had learned in the last semester was staying in her head -- and finals started tomorrow. She did her best to study -- even if she was thinking about certain things she had done as recently as Friday -- but things were just refusing to stay.

That would be when she sighed and pulled out her notebook. She hadn't planned to this, but she couldn't think of any other way where she wouldn't fail out of school.

After she wrote things down for a long moment, she folded the paper and held it to her temple.

Anders had a Pyramid playbook under one arm as he came back upstairs from his room, post-workout and post-shower, and knocked on the door. "Anybody home in there?"

"It's open!" Phoebe called as she hurriedly slipped the spell under the couch cushion.

"Hey," Anders said with a smile as he opened the door and stepped in. "It's just me."

Phoebe smiled at him. "Hey, you. How was yesterday?"

"It was good." Anders put the playbook down on the coffee table and dropped onto the couch, stretching and running a hand through his still-wet hair. "We ended up playing this huge sci-fi fan convention. Got in so late I didn't want to bother you guys, though."

"I pretty much spent all day yesterday in bed," Phoebe said with a slight smile. "I guess rest and recovery was needed."

Anders stuck his lower lip out slightly and scooted over to give her a hug. "I was worried about you, y'know. You kind of scared me. Scared us."

Phoebe looked at her hands. "I wasn't trying to scare anyone..."

"I know you weren't." Anders hugged her again, not letting go this time. "Can't help worrying, is all. You're doing okay now, though?"

Lana knocked on the door. "Phoebe?"

"Come on in, Lana."

Lana came in looking a little flustered. "Did you get home okay the other night? Jim came and when we went to go home you weren't there."

Phoebe smiled. "Apparently, at some point in my drunkeness, I called Cole."

"Oh good," Lana said with some relief, "because I'm afraid in mine I totally forgot about you till, well... much later. I sort of, um... offered myself to Jim as a prize and..."

Phoebe grinned. "I'm glad he liked his prize, then."

Lana looked a little smug. "We both did."

"Good!" Phoebe was happy to see her best friend looking so cheerful.

Bel returned to the room after having been up on the roof smoking. "Hey, sweetheart, what are you up to?" he asked.

Anders raised an eyebrow at him. "Not m -- oh, you didn't mean me, huh?"

"Why, you want me to call you that now?" Bel said.

"I think my brain might explode if you did," Anders admitted.

Phoebe may have slipped to the floor in giggles.

"No sweetheart for you, then," Bel snickered.

Anders stuck his tongue out at both of them.

"I am sure there are better uses for you tongue than that," Phoebe said between giggles as she tried to get up off of the floor.
