Wednesday Morning, The Roof

Phoebe was not exactly in the calmest state of mind.

In fact, one could surmise that she was miles away from calm.

Between promising her boyfriend that she would do anything to stop him if it looked like he was going to end up hurting someone, having a serious conversation with Lana, which is still being played out and hearing on the radio about Cole and Anders... and Cole and Seely, the teenage witch was quite a bit flaily and upset.

Because it was so early, she made her way up to the roof, and sat there, watching the fog settle over everything as the sun rose.

Phoebe sat on the ledge and watched all of this, seeking the peacefulness of sunrise while everything else inside her was full of turmoil.

Cole snuggled in closer to her. "I'm here," he said softly.

Phoebe wrapped her arms around him and held him silently for a few moments.

"I'm always here for you, love," she said softly. "We will find a way out of this."

"Raynor wants me to hurt you," he said quietly. "Wants you to turn against me so I don't have your support."

"He'd have to kill me first."

Cole gave her a Look. "You know I'd die before that happens."

Phoebe nodded. "I know. Raynor will not get what he wants, Cole. I'm not leaving you, not turning against you. Yes, I'll keep my promise, but that doesn't mean I'm going to let that bastard strip you of everyone."

"I gotta get my father back," Cole said. "If I can do that, then I can stop going to the Underworld...and it won't be able to pull at me."
