Thursday Night -- Halliwell Manor

Phoebe hadn't been able to call sooner because Grams and Prue were making sure she was resting and that nothing was going to happen to make her shatter. No matter how many times she had reassured them that she was okay and not made of glass, they insisted on keeping a close eye on her. While she was feeling safe with their love and protection, there was one person she really needed to talk to... a voice she needed to hear.

Slipping away from her Grams and her sisters, Phoebe went to take a hot bath... and grabbed her cellphone.

Taking a deep breath, she dialed a number.

Cole grabbed his phone when he heard Phoebe's ringtone.

Of course he had a special ringtone for her. Dork.

"Phoebe?"

Phoebe made sure her voice was calm. "Hello, baby."

"You okay, sweetheart?" he asked anxiously.

"I'm okay..." she assured him quietly. "You know what happened?"

"Piper called me," he said. "How you holding up?"

"Shaken. Not harmed. Miss you."

"Miss you, too, love," he said. "When are you going to come back to school?"

"Monday night if they haven't caught him by then. Grams and my sisters are being very protective."

"They...haven't caught him?" Cole asked carefully. "Any leads?"

Phoebe bit her lip. "No. I didn't see him, only felt..." Phoebe swallowed. "No."

"He won't hurt you again," Cole said quietly.

"That's what everyone keeps telling me, but I'm still scared. I've never been threatened with a gun and being shot before."

"But you've faced down demons."

[sensethevisions]

"I know," Phoebe said. "I know this is stuoid, but... it was something unexpected. I thought he was going to kill me in the park, Cole."

"He won't hurt you again, Phoebe, I promise," Cole said firmly.

Phoebe nodded. "I believe you, sweetheart."

"I wish you were here."

[sensethevisions]

"So do I. I want nothing more than to be with you right now."

"Wilson and Blair got attacked by demons the other day. They're okay, though."

Phoebe stared into the phone for a very long time before placing it back against her ear. "What happened?"

"Five of 'em jumped them while they were off island," Cole said. "I was with Phale when it happened, and he sensed it. We managed to fight them off."

"Thank god you were there."

[demonbelthazor]

"Yeah, we got there in the nick of time."

[sensethevisions]

"I'm glad for that."

[demonbelthazor]

"Me, too."

[sensethevisions]

"I miss you."

[demonbelthazor]

"I miss you, too, sweetheart. Come back soon."

"I'll be home no later that Monday. Do you want me to call you to come get me or have Paige bring me back?"

"Call me if you can. But it's cool if your Grams wants Paige to bring you back."

'I'll let you know as soon as I know what's going on." She swallowed. "How have classes been?"

"Okay, the usual," he said. "Nothing special. We had to get cookies from each other in Ethics. Kinda silly."
