South Attic -- Wednesday Evening
Apr. 12th, 2006 08:56 pmAfter her classes, Phoebe had returned to her dorm and sat at her computer. In theory she was working on her Poetry assignment. In reality? She was dealing with the fact that ANOTHER teacher she respected and cared about was leaving them.
That brought the total count up to how many now... four?

Date: 2006-04-13 01:27 am (UTC)"It's been a very bad week," she said softly. "Cole was arrested last week. He was accused of attacking someone and they only thing they had for evidence was that someone had seen the attacker looked a bit like Cole in his demon form." She sighed. "I just spent the last week trying to keep my boyfriend's spirits up through a set of bars while trying to find proof that he was innocent."
She buried her face in her hands. "I was taught that we are all innocent until proven guilty. They just assumed he was guilty."

Date: 2006-04-13 01:42 am (UTC)"I guess... I think I let my emotions get carried away when I was writing. But there was no proof he had done it, and they were all acting like he was automatically guilty." She swallowed. "I'm not exactly the most rational when people I care about or innocents are being hurt." She bit her lip. "This hurt him so badly, Cally. We had been telling him that being on the side of good was the right thing to do and that he should have faith in the systems and things on this world because they are just and fair... and then this happens."

"Things will be better. He's home now... if he had gotten home before we put the paper to bed then I may never have written that editorial." She looked embarrassed. "Not exactly one of my best decisions."
