Sunday Night -- South Attic

After spending a great deal of time researching with her sisters, Phoebe stumbled into the South Attic.

She was worried and scared and very drained of energy.

Angel was very bad off... and they had to find a way to heal him.

She hadn't seen Cole all day, but was feeling several emotions from him that were blending into a confusing cacophony of her senses. She was beginning to get worried, but diidn't want to go hunting for him and thus intrude on his privacy.

She stretched out on the couch and sighed.

She felt like this day had taken years to get through.

"What? Kill who?" Cole said, surprised.

"Darla!" Phoebe hissed angrily. "Who else would do something like this to you?" Phoebe found her shoes. "I wonder if a stake soaked in holy water would make it more painful for her as she dies," Phoebe wondered out loud.

"I'm fine, love, put down your shoes," Cole said, not bothering to correct her yet. He pulled off his jacket and shirt.

"What happened?" she demanded as she placed her shoes nearby.

Damn. She had to ask him flat out. "Got in a fight," he mumbled, trying to distract her with, hello, bare chest here!

Phoebe is indeed distracted by the bare chest and there are things she'd rather do than talk.

However...

"With who?"

"Logan."

Phoebe blinked. "Logan... Echolls?"

"Yes?"

[sensethevisions]

"Cole!" Phoebe wailed.

"He started it!" Cole protested.

Phoebe facepalmed and went to look him over. With a sigh she went to the small fridge and got sme ice out of the freezer. She wrapped it up and tugged him to the couch. She sat in his lap to hold him down and then held ice to the worst of the bruises.

"Tell me," she demanded softly.

He winced, then sighed. "I went to see Angel, and Logan walked in and accused me of trying to do something to him."

"Oh sweetheart," she says softly, kissing his temple gently. "Tell me you're not surprised that he was an asshole and accused you?"

"No," Cole admitted. "Angel has more reason to hate me but he's the one cutting me the most slack." He sighed. "The news isn't good."

"I know." Phoebe said softly. "I spent the day with Piper and Paige, after talking to Veronica, trying to find a way to save him."

She lay her head on his shoulder. "We'll save him, Cole," she promised. "We have to."

"He was poisoned?" Cole said, frowning.

"Yeah."

[demonbelthazor]

"It must've been Darla and her stake," Cole said softly, "which means it's my fault."

"It's not your fault, soulmate," she said gently. "Darla is evil and would have fund another way to hurt him after the whole study group thing."
