South Attic --- Tuesday Morning

When Phoebe felt herself waking up, she frowned a little bit. She had no desire to wake up. She was comfortable and... she did open her eyes and then smiled.

She was with Cole.

His head was laying on her shoulder and he looked so peaceful.

She had missed this so much... had missed falling asleep with him and then waking up in his arms or holding him in hers. She had meant what she told him, being away from him was too painful to put into words. It had been like she was missing an arm or worse, a torso.

They were both back where they belonged, and she wasn't going to let anyone tear them apart again --- especially not themselves.

She dropped a kiss on his hair and nuzzled him.

"I love you," she whispered very quietly, not really trying to wake him up. She was content just to watch him sleep as she held him.

Phoebe stroked his hair. "You don't have to wake up, yet."

Cole murmured an agreement and wrapped his arms tightly around her.

Phoebe smiled happily and curled herself as tight against him as she could and wrapped her own arms around him.

"Did you feed the cats?" Cole mumbled.

"The kittens seem to have gone out for the moment," she said softly.

"I only asked because one of them was biting my toe earlier," Cole said with a soft laugh.

"Better your toe than something else," she snickered.

"You would've heard a lot of screaming then," Cole said, making a face.

Phoebe buried her face in his shoulder as she tried not to giggle at his expression.

"Hey, how would you like it if one of the cats bit you...here?" He squeezed a sensitive portion of her anatomy.

Phoebe made an eeping sound and jumped. "You'd have serious words with our demonic caretakers for doing something that only you're allowed to do."

"How about here...or here...." His hand drifted lower.

Phoebe gasped and wiggled against him. "Cole..."
