Phoebe was sitting in the main room of the South Attic in her wheelchair. She had just gotten off the phone with Camulus and he was coming to get her. She would no longer be confined to this damn wheelchair, and Camulus was going to see about finding someone who could teach her to use a sword.

The scene with Angel/"Cole" breaking up with her had awakened a lot of fears that she had been trying to keep buried since the attack---that Cole would decide that he had made a mistake in being with her because she was a human...and was more vulnerable than he had thought.

That was going to change...and the first thing was healing her leg.

Camulus, unused to the dorms, quickly strode through all the living areas until he reached the South Attic, pausing at the door and knocking assuming that there is one. "Phoebe?" he calls, taking the echo out of his voice so it sounded human. The last thing he needed was those meddling kids forming a lynch mob out here.

He pushed open the door and smiled when he saw her waiting there. "How are you feeling?" he asked, keeping his voice human, sounding far more concerned than his normal voice would allow. "Are you alright?"

[[I never asked - do you know about the voice thing? When he's being Goa'uldy it's all echoey and boomy. Kinda like a heavily smoking Vader.]]

At the mention of pain, attacking, and killing, Camulus's eyes grew hard. "I would have done anything to have stopped them before this happened," he said harshly, stepping around so he could maneouver the wheelchair. "I'm glad you've taken up my offer, and I'll see what I can do for finding you some protection." Which sounds in no way dirty.

They reached his classroom without incident, and he pulled her alongside the sarcophagus, hitting the brakes almost as an afterthought. "Now, Phoebe, yours is an uncomplicated injury although it gives you so much pain. You can lay in the sarcophagus overnight and I'll wake you in the morning. I will be right by your side the whole time. Ceirst?"

"You owe me nothing but your worship," Camulus replied, turning away to touch a hidden catch. With a grating sound of stone on stone, very slowly and majestically, as befitted something Goa'uldy, the sarcophagus opened. The interior was neither plush-lined nor cold stone but seemed to be simply full of light. Camulus loomed over Phoebe, ready to lift her in. "Ready?"

Carefully, he lifted her out of the wheelchair and laid her in the sarcophagus. He tried not to jostle, but was afraid that he might not have been entirely successful. He smiled down at her before it closed. "Oidche mhath. Close your eyes and go to sleep. I'll be right here."

"I won't." The sarcophagus, with another grating sound, closed over her, and Camulus sighed. He stood and crossed the room to his filing cabinet. While this particular filing cabinet didn't look very special - in fact, it looked rather battered and dingy - he had discovered it during the infamous Zombie Weekend and prized it for its unique storage capibilities. The bottom drawer he kept locked, but unlocked it now and withdrew what looked like an ornate bracelet. It wasn't. He donned the hand device, flexing his fingers a few times to readjust himself to it, and then sat down beside the sarcophagus to begin his vigil.

He may also have been running over in his head a list of teachers with possible swordfighting abilities. And lesson plans. But mostly it was concern for Phoebe.
