Phoebe had been thinking alot about the vision, the discussions she had had with people and all of the knowledge she seemed to be gaining.

She was still confused as all hell about how everything was going to go down.

When she heard the radio and Faith talked about how satisfied Cole had looked coming out of there after and Veronica were in there...

...she had sat down heavily on the bed. Valkyrie and Seraphim were immediately at her side as she stared at the radio in shock.

It couldn't be like what Faith was implying.

There was a logical, reasonable explanation...as to why Veronica dragged Cole into the girls restroom.

"I wish I could bring you with me...but I'm afraid of how Grams will greet you." She was unhappy, too. "I wish I could be with you on Christmas and on New Year's Eve."

"Yeah, probably not a good idea for me to meet your grandmother," Cole said. "But, you know, if you could get out of the house, I could shimmer over there to see you...."

Phoebe sighed and then smiled faintly. "There's a park nearby...but how will I know when to come or you know when to come?"

Cole grinned and reached into his jacket pocket, pulling out his cell phone. He didn't see the two small glass vials fall out of his pocket and hit the floor, rolling under the bed. "There's always the phone," he said.

Phoebe smiled. "I so have to go buy one of those. All I had was the one from Jerusalem and I don't use that any longer."

"Maybe I'll get you one for Christmas, then," Cole said. "Okay, so you probably don't want to tell your grandmother who the guy calling you is, but you can always call me, right?"

Phoebe wrinkled her nose. "Let's go together to the store in town and get me one, okay? I'd like to be surprised from you on Christmas instead of knowing ahead of time." She smiled. "Besides, the phone I want, it's kind of pricey and I'd feel bad if you spent that much on me."

"Nothing's too much for you," Cole said. "We can go into town after classes Thursday if you want. See what they have."

Phoebe smirked. "Love, while I appreciate the sentiment, The SideKick is a little more than I would request anyone spend on me." She nodded with a smile. "Thursday sounds like a plan. I am not going home until we have a way to communicate with each other."

"Then I'll see what I can do to help out," Cole insisted. "After all, it's really for both of us."

Phoebe laughed. "I know better than to argue with you on that or else I might wake up in the morning and find one on my pillow."
