Phone Calls And Apologies

After Marty left, Veronica picked up the phone and started dialing. She called Phoebe first, hoping that maybe Phoebe hadn't heard the radio broadcast.
On her way out of the room, Phoebe heard her phone ring. She sighed, shutting the door, and grabbed the phone. "Hello."
"Phoebe, it's Veronica. Um, did you hear last night's radio broadcast?"
"Yes...God, are you okay? Is Piper okay?"
"I'm mortified, but physically fine. Look, I'm really sorry that I… gave your boyfriend a lap dance," Veronica tripped over the words since she was incredibly pissed at herself for going anywhere near Belthazor and she was even more pissed at him for having the audacity to shimmer her without her permission. "I haven't talked to Piper yet this morning."
Phoebe was silent for a long moment. "Lap dance?" In the being worried about Piper and Veronica, she might have missed that little point of information.
"Yeah," Veronica said, resting her hand on her forehead. "I sort of… gave one to him, Angel, Xander and Logan. I think the gremlin bite made me lose my inhibitions or something. Piper was dancing on the bar. We both wore leather. It was… bad."
Phoebe sat down while Veronica told her what had happened last night. "Uhm..wow."
"I'm really, really, really sorry, Phoebe. You know that I have absolutely no interest in your boyfriend, right?"
Phoebe is processing..wait...what? "Veronica? Calm down. You're one of my best friends and would never do something like that to me. Having had a run-in with the gremlins myself the first week here, I have an understanding of what can happen under those circumstances." She was silent, then grinned into the phone. "Can you teach me to do that?"
"Oh that's right, I forgot you got bit… wait, teach you to do what?"
Phoebe is trying not to laugh, really. "Give someone a lap dance."
"Phoebe!" Veronica exclaimed. "I don't even know where I learned how to do it. Or if I was doing it right. Not that that matters. Oh God. Did you ever wish there was a way to just go back in time and erase something you did?"
Phoebe started laughing softly. "Yes, Veronica, quite often since I've been here."
Veronica chuckled. "Well, I'm glad there's at least one person who's not mad at me," she said. "I somehow don't think Rory is going to ask me for lap dancing lessons when I call her though," she added with a sigh.
"Ouch," Phoebe sympathized. "I wish I could help you with that. Maybe if you say Gremlin before saying anything else?"
"I don't know. She walked in to find me on her boyfriend's lap, trying to kiss him. And I don't know how much Logan told her about her relationship before coming here." She sighed again. "Those gremlins better hope I never see them again."
"Oh no..." Phoebe said softly. "Gremlins are an evil menace here."
"No kidding." Veronica paused. "Thanks for understanding, Phoebe. I have a list a mile long of people I need to call though, so I'll talk to you later?"
"I'll be around, Veronica. Good luck."
"Thanks"
