Hyperion, New Year's Eve

Phoebe was in the lobby of the hotel, putting the finishing touches on a bit of furniture rearranging that she had been doing. (Everyone else who lived here would adapt to the changes, they always did.)

It was another New Year's Eve in California and she kept thinking about everything that had happened in the past year and what she wanted for the upcoming year. One of the things that she was most grateful for is that none of them had died in the past few months, so that was a thing worth celebrating. Not to mention that her eldest nephew was happily married now.

So, it was probably no surprise that after Phoebe flopped down on one of the sofas near the big screen TV that she was thinking about her own future.

"Why would anyone want to watch that?" Piper sighed. What? She was a romantic comedy kind of girl! "Let's stick with the Rockin' Eve."

It'd just be background noise to her anyway. "So, got any resolutions?"

She laughed softly, shaking her head. "I shouldn't have watched any of it, but it was like a train wreck. If we were allowed to vanquish evil humans..."

She turned the channel to the Rockin' Eve and then turned the sound down a bit. "Maybe go back to school and finally get my degree? I don't know. How about you?"

"Well, whatever you decide, I'll support you," Piper said, smiling. "As for me? Well, there's wedding stuff...and I'm hoping to become head chef at work."

She was pretty sure she was going to keep those resolutions.

"If they don't make you head chef, then they are both stupid and without taste," she said with a grin. "And wedding stuff is always fun."

"It's your job as maid of honor to prevent me from turning into a bridezilla," Piper chuckled. She realized she just gave her sister a difficult task.

Phoebe stared at her for a moment and then shook her head.

"It's a good thing I'm a Charmed One," she teased.

Piper laughed. "Yeah. Probably."

"But hey, we've faced bigger challenges."
