Hyperion Hotel, Thursday Afternoon

Phoebe was packing an overnight bag.

The last few nights she had been having dreams about her mom and now she really needed to go to Fandom and spend some time with Piper. She didn't understand the dreams or why they had suddenly started up this week. What she did know was that she needed to see her sister and she needed to see her now.

She also had the overwhelming need to be in Fandom right now, but she had decided that feeling was because she was wanting so strongly to spend time with Piper.

After calling into work to take a few days off, Phoebe went back to packing her bag.

"...was it something I said?" Cole asked, eyeing her as she packed.

That confused Phoebe enough to stop her frenzy of packing and she turned to look at Cole.

"What?"

"You're packing to leave!" Bel said. Totally not flailing. At all.

Phoebe blinked and looked from Cole to the bed where her bag was sitting. It looked like every article of clothing that she owned was dumped on the bed.

"What? No! Fandom! Just for a few days and I ..." She rubbed her hand over her face. "I need to see Piper. Like immediately."

"First Anders runs off with barely an explanation, now you're packing," Bel said sulkily. Sometimes he really was a big baby. "Everyone's leaving."

Don't leave him bored and alone with Logan. The hotel wouldn't be standing when she came back.

Phoebe shook her head again and sat down on the bed. "No, I'm not... not permanently. I just need to be with Piper and Fandom and..." She sighed reaching a hand out to him. "You could come with me?"

Yeah, something was really bothering her if she hadn't realized that it really did look to anyone else that she was moving out.

Bel sat down next to her, sliding an arm around her waist. "What's going on?" he said. "I can shimmer you, you know."

"Shimmer, right. No portal needed to be scheduled." She nodded. She sounded a bit frazzled. "I need to get to Fandom," she said, leaning against him. "I don't know why. I've been having dreams about my mom and this pull to go back to Fandom and be with Piper. They don't seem to be premonitions -- I mean, mom's dead and has been dead for years."

"I can get you there as soon as you're packed, sweetheart," Bel said. Now he was feeling like a bit of dork for letting his abandonment issues show, but after Anders had taken off, he'd been a bit on edge.

And Phoebe was feeling bad for not telling him that she needed to go to Fandom immediately to be with Piper.

"I just feel like I have to be there. It's something a little strange."

"Bad strange?" Bel asked. "Do I have to beat something up?"

Violence was always the answer.

Phoebe couldn't help but smile as she turned to look at him.

"It doesn't feel evil or bad, at least not yet. But... I'd feel better if you were there to look after me and Piper just in case."

Oh yes, Phoebe knew exactly how to make up for not realizing how badly her packing job would make her soul mate flail.

"'Course," Bel said gruffly. "You know I'll never let anything hurt you." He pressed a kiss on the top of her head.

"I never have any worry about that," she said with a smile. "You're my knight in shimmering leather."

"Always," he said, running a hand through her hair. "Now finish packing. I don't think you need to take everything you own, though." His own packing was easy! Just a couple pairs of jeans and some t-shirts and he was done.

Phoebe looked at the bed and then grinned sheepishly. "Yeah, probably not."
