What had never happened to her before was waking up in a room with a boy that wasn't Jonathan or her dad -- much less two.
This would be why she gave one of her best screams as she scrambled from the bed. Mona, or Angela or her Dad would be here any second and these guys would be toast. Toast with a capital T.
While she waited, she found herself a baseball bat and got ready to swing. She was from Brooklyn and as such, knew how to defend herself if she needed to.
