Early Monday Morning 518/520
Dec. 4th, 2006 06:20 amPhoebe had woken up in bed from a nightmare. Two nights where she spent most of the time unconscious and cold (as well as scared) had not been conducive to a restful sleep. She was confused for a moment, but the fact that Cole was holding her to him helped to calm her. He looked pretty scratched up and bruised but he had assured her last night that he was okay and didn't need medical attention. She had been adamant that she didn't need care, also.
She didn't remember much about what had happened the night before as she had still been pretty woozy from the being hit on the head thing. But, Cole had suddenly shown up and had rescued her and Blair... and then he had gone back to help Lana and Willow and the others. Then he had brought her back to their room and immediately tucked her into bed --- checking on her quite often in concern over the head injury. Like she hadn't had a concussion since coming to Fandom? She was pretty sure someone had a punchcard in her name going. Get ten concussions and she got a free dinner or something.
For her part, the fact that Fandom had been invaded by trolls should not have surprised her.
The fact that she and Lana had been attacked and kidnapped while attempting to do something helpful for a stranger should not have surprised her, but it did.
However, she was almost positive that the troll invaders had been quite surprised that the inhabitants Fandom had put up such a resistance to attack. By now, you would think that the bad guys of the world would have some sort of network spreading a warning against attacking this place. The students and teachers and townies ALWAYS banded together to kick ass and protect their home.
All of this thinking about what had happened was making her head hurt worse.
Trying not to disturb him, Phoebe curled up as close to her boyfriend as she could, careful not to jolt her wounds -- or his.
